Business Description

Did you know that over half of the gasoline dispensers at Japanese petrol stations are made by Tatsuno? Tatsuno is one of the top three manufacturers of petrol dispensers in the world. We have full confidence that our fuel dispensers are the most precise, reliable, and durable.

Tatsuno Corporation manufactures and sells fuel dispensers for various fuels such as petrol, diesel, LPG, CNG and hydrogen, and provides total support for its customers. This includes planning and construction for petrol stations and related facilities, after-sales service of our products such as inspections and maintenance, and last, but not least, Tatsuno is also engaged in environment-related activities such as soil analyses and remediation.

Tatsuno Corporation’s activities are not only limited to Japan but you can find our group companies, partner companies and distributors in numerous countries all around the world.

Highlights

The company was founded in 1911 by Uchu Tatsuno, and in the following years we achieved the following:
1919 Produced the first gasoline dispenser in Japan
1939 Delivered Japan’s first metering dispenser (the predecessor of today’s automatic dispensers) to Air Corps
1963 Completed and launched the world’s first ceiling-suspended overhead gasoline dispenser, Tatsuno’s patented "Non-space dispenser"
1970 Launched "Punch Writer", the first POS terminal in the petrol station industry
1985 Launched the world’s first compact IC card reader/writer
2002 Started the development of Japan’s first retail hydrogen dispenser for fuel cell vehicles
2013 Launched the world’s first fuel dispenser with a vapor recovery system "Sunny NX D70"



Future Goal

Tatsuno believes that while the demand for petrol will still remain, at the same time, the demand for new sources of sustainable energy will be increasing, and one of them will be hydrogen.

One of our goals is to promote and contribute to the hydrogen society. We have been investing in hydrogen technology over the years and since 2013 we have been offering HYDROGEN-NX, the hydrogen dispenser.
