Business Description

Morita Holdings Corporation was founded in 1907 and made the first gasoline-powered fire pump in Japan. Ever since then, we have been developing firefighting technology in Japan, working as a leading manufacturer of fire trucks for over a century.

Always reflecting the latest technologies, Morita Group develops and produces products that help make a safe and secure society for all. Our products support and protect many aspects of people’s lives.

Development, manufacturing and sales of ladder trucks, fire trucks and other fire trucks and specialty vehicles. Also, aftercare service and maintenance of fire trucks, equipment and materials.

・Fire Protection Equipment & Systems Business

Development, manufacturing and sales of fire extinguishers, fire fighting equipment, and fire protection-related equipment.

・Recycling Machines Business

Design of waste recycling facilities and other waste disposal facilities. Development, manufacturing and sales of large hydraulic equipment.

・Environmental Conservation Vehicles Business

Development, manufacturing and sales of environmental conservation vehicles such as sanitation vehicles (vacuum trucks) and garbage trucks.

Highlights

1907 Shosaku Morita established the "Fire Protection Association" as his privately-run business in Minami-ku, Osaka City (the current Nishi-Shinsaibashi, Chuo-ku, Osaka City) and started production and sales of fire extinguishers and fire pumps.
1917 Developed Japan's first fire truck.
1973 Listed on the Osaka Securities Exchange.
2001 Concluded a tie-up concerning capital-related operations with Miyata Industry Co., Ltd. (acquired afterward)
2008 The holding company was established through a spin-off and the trade name was changed to MORITA HOLDINGS CORPORATION accordingly.
2016 Acquired Finland's BRONTO SKYLIFT OY AB
